Composites In Fire
Composites In Fire 4
(15 - 16 September 2005, Centre for Composite Materials Engineering, University of Newcastle, UK)
Lack of adequate fire performance is the greatest single factor hindering the more widespread use of composites in all transport and infrastructure applications. The aim of the COMPOSITES IN FIRE conferences is to promote research towards a step-change improvement in the fire behaviour of composite structures. This is an area where developments are happening rapidly, and it is important for everyone involved to stay up to date with the latest research. Important developments in fire resistance and fire reaction have taken place since the last CIF-3. The 2005 meeting summarised these developments and brought together the key experts from three continents.
Composites In Fire 3
(9 - 10 September 2003, Centre for Composite Materials Engineering, University of Newcastle, UK)
Important new developments have taken place recently in materials, fire modelling, test procedures and standards. The conference focused on the use of fibre reinforced plastics and composites in transport applications. Key speakers from Europe, the USA and Australia presented their approach to fire safe design in these materials.
Composites In Fire 2
(12 - 13 September 2001, Centre for Composite Materials Engineering, University of Newcastle, UK)
Following the success of the first conference, this meeting discussed new developments, new standards and the implications of the SBI test, the response of composite structures to different fire scenarios, the principles of property modification through additives and design, and regulatory aspects.
Composites In Fire 1
(15 - 16 September 1999, Centre for Composite Materials Engineering, University of Newcastle, UK)
Accurate information on the response of composite materials to fire is an essential requisite for almost all applications. The conference discussed how to make full use of the desirable characteristics of light weight and corrosion resistance and the fire performance of composites. Attended by end users, designers, materials suppliers and regulatory bodies.
About Composites In Fire
Accurate information on the response of composite materials to fire is an essential requisite for almost all applications. These conferences consist of invited presentations from acknowledged experts in the field and are intended to bring together end users, designers, materials suppliers and regulatory bodies
