FRC 2000: 8th International Conference on Fibre Reinforced Composites

(13 - 15 September 2000, Centre for Composite Materials Engineering, University of Newcastle, UK)

The choice of theme reflected the steadily changing range of technologies available to designers and processors of these highly effective materials. Applications and New Developments highlights the new areas where these materials are being applied. These fields now extend well beyond the established ones of aerospace, marine and land transport into the rapidly broadening range of civil engineering and infrastructure applications. Other sessions include Composite Processing, Composite Properties, Materials Modelling and Green Composites.

About Fibre Reinforced Composites

CompositeLink have organised the highly successful FRC series of international conferences since 1998. The 2½ day FRC meetings, which occupy a unique place in the composites calendar, bring together the latest developments in all areas of composite materials engineering and serve as a forum for discussion. The series has proved invaluable to industry and to researchers wishing to stay abreast of the latest research and developments. In addition, those planning to enter the composites field have used FRC to gain a snapshot of the current state of the art. The meeting is attended by key personnel from all sectors of the composites field including end-users, manufacturers, designers, materials and equipment suppliers, as well as researchers and graduate trainees.
